Cape Girardeau Airport open house, fun day Sept. 22 | Community Spirit

CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) - The City of Cape Girardeau will present the Airport Open House and Fun Day on Saturday, September 22.

A pancake breakfast will be from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Sandy's Place Restaurant and the open house will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The free event will feature activities such as:

• Skydiving demos
• Aircraft static displays
• SEMO modelers RC demonstrations
• Crop dusting demo
• Aircraft simulator
• Military Jeeps and automobiles
• Fire trucks
• Discovery Playhouse kid zone

You can also register to participate an the airplane flour drop for a chance to hit the target and win a 50/50 cash prize. Register at the airport before 1 p.m. to enter the contest. Winners will receive:

• Free ride in WWII aircraft
• One free bag of flour to compete in the contest.
