ANNA, IL (KFVS) - The First Christian Church of Anna will be breaking ground on a new church building Sunday, September 9.
The site of the ground breaking is on Mallard Lane at the east edge of Anna. It is scheduled for 5 p.m. and will be part of a community ground breaking celebration from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
The non-denominational and Bible-based church was founded in 1891 and has been located at 204 North Main Street since 1907.
The church says the cost of the project, including land, exceeds $1.1 million. The building is the fist of two structures planned for the 10.8 acre site. They say land not used for building will be developed for youth activities.
