Fall Festival in Alto Pass looking for vendors, participants | Community Spirit

ALTO PASS, IL (KFVS) - Alto Pass will host its 4th Annual Fall Festival in downtown Alto Pass on Friday and Saturday, October 5 and 6.

The festival is presented by the Alto Pride Community Group as well as a number of area businesses providing sponsorships and raffle items. The event will feature a BBQ competition, Apple Bake-Off, live music, Arts and Crafts Fair, DJ show, and raffle. The BBQ competition will be an unsanctioned Kansas City format, with chicken, beef brisket, pork shoulder and ribs categories, as well as a free “KidsQ” competition.

Cash prizes will be awarded for first, second and third places in the BBQ cook-off, and the Grand Champion will receive $300.

Friday’s activities include an Apple Bake-Off which will feature apple desserts. The public will judge the contest by voting for their favorite deserts using donations to the Alto Pride Community Group, with prizes awarded for first, second and third places. Live music will be featured in the Park Pavilion on Friday evening from 6 p.m. to 10 pm, and local musicians are invited to take part in this acoustic “Pickin in the Park” event. Musicians will be provided with complimentary “BBQ bucks”, which may be used to purchase food and beverage at the festival.

An Arts and Crafts Fair will be held in the Village Park on both Friday from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. with food, arts, and crafts vendors. The raffle drawing will be held Saturday at the time of the awards presentation, and you do not need to be present to win.
