(KFVS) - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announced it will waive day-use fees for veterans, active and reserve component service members and their families at more than 2,400 recreation area nation-wide on Veterans Day.

MARION, IL (KFVS) - The United Way of Southern Illinois has released their holiday wish list.

Items include things like bedding and food.

The agency is located at 1301 Enterprise Way, the shopping mall attached to Rural King.

4-H Day with the Rams

4-H Day with the Rams

BENTON, IL (KFVS) - 4-H members, alumni, and their families are invited to participate in the 2011 4-H Day with the Rams.

It will take place on Sunday, December 18th, 2011 at the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis. The Rams will take on the Cincinnati Bengals at noon. Tickets are $40 each, which is a $15 discount on regular ticket prices.

Each ticket comes with a $10 voucher for food and drinks at the dome as well as a 4-H day with the Rams souvenir t-shirt. For orders of 10 or more tickets, each person receives an additional $10 food and drink voucher.

There are a limited number of seats available, for 4-H families are encouraged to order tickets soon.

Annual Cross Walk Scheduled

Annual Cross Walk Scheduled

UNION COUNTY, IL (KFVS) - The Bald Knob Cross of Peace will host the 4th annual Cross Walk on October 22nd.

The fundraiser helps raise money to re-light the cross.

Registration begins the morning of the walk at 9:00 a.m. in downtown Alto Pass. Busses will begin loading at 10:00 a.m. to begin the walk.

With a $10 donation, each participant will receive a Bald Knob Cross wristband and water bottle.
