ANNA, IL (KFVS) - Those who died serving our country in World War II were honored on Saturday in Anna.
The dedication of a monument lists 38 names of those who died serving, and was unveiled at 2 p.m. at the Anna Veteran's Home.
The monument was presented by American Legion Townsend F. Dodd Post 344. The presentation speech was made by Jerry Hunter and Jeffery Roscow.
There were more than 100 people attending the dedication.
The names on the monument are fallen military men from Anna, Illinois.
We're told the monument was found in 2011 after being hidden in storage in a former American Legion building. It was believed it was completed sometime before the Korean War.
The monument was repaired of damage, and additional names are expected to be added to the monument.
