Several southern Illinois communities under boil water order | News
(KFVS)- Several boil water orders have been issued for communities in southern Illinois.
A boil water order has been issued for all Dongola, Ill. water customers due to a break in a Southwater line. This is in effect until further notice.
The village of Karnak has issued a boil water order until further notice.
All Central Alexander Co. Public Water District customers are under a boil water order.
The McClure East Cape Water District has issued a boil water order for its customers in Alexander and Union counties until further notice due to a water main break. Water to be used for drinking and cooking purposes should be brought to a rolling boil for at least five minutes before use. Anyone with questions can call 618-661-1206.
The boil water order for the city of Mounds has been lifted. It was lifted at 1:30 p.m. Friday.
The boil water order for all SouthWater customers has been lifted.
The boil water order is in effect for Du Quoin for a portion of the city of Du Quoin water system effective immediately. The users of the city of Du Quoin water system affected are on Park Street from Line to Washington. Repair work is being done on the lines in these areas.
