After a very close vote, students at Cobden High School elected Mitt Romney as the next president with a vote of 71 to 69.

COBDEN, IL (KFVS)- Students at Cobden High School are learning a lot about the election process.

Tuesday, students dressed as President Obama, Gov. Mitt Romney, Vice-President Joe Biden, and Congressman Paul Ryan took to the podium to debate the major issues.

It's all part of a large class project. Members of the student body sat in on the debate during a school wide assembly.

They also got a chance to watch campaign commercials that the students created before casting their ballots.
